Privacy Notice
Plain English. No surprises. Here is exactly what we do — and don't do — with your information.
Effective Date: March 29, 2026 · Business: Elder Technologist LLC d/b/a The Silver Tech Guy · Questions: support@silvertechguy.com
What This Is
This is a plain-English description of how we handle your personal information. We are a small, one-person IT services business serving older adults on Florida's Treasure Coast. We collect very little information, we use it only to serve you, and we do not sell it — ever.
This notice covers our website at https://www.silvertechguy.com and any contact form submissions made through it.
What We Collect
When you fill out our contact or intake form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- A description of your tech question or issue
That is it. We do not collect payment information through the website. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account data, or health information. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
Why We Collect It
We collect your contact information for one reason: to respond to your inquiry and schedule service. Specifically, we use it to:
- Call or email you back about your tech question
- Prepare for your service appointment
- Follow up after service if needed
- Maintain a service history for billing and warranty purposes
We do not use your information for automated marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing you with tech support.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your information. Not to data brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- We do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
- We do not add you to mailing lists without your explicit request.
- We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
Third-Party Services
Our contact and intake form is powered by JotForm (jotform.com). When you submit a form, your response is stored on JotForm's platform. JotForm's own privacy policy governs how they store and handle that data. We encourage you to review it at jotform.com/privacy.
Our website fonts are self-hosted and load no external resources. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service at this time.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain service records — including your contact information — for a reasonable period for billing, warranty follow-up, and reference purposes. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so promptly unless we are legally required to retain it (for example, to resolve a billing dispute or comply with a legal obligation).
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what information we have about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
To exercise any of these rights, contact us directly. We will respond within five business days.
Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect your contact information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Our website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are handled by JotForm, which maintains its own security practices.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you have concerns about sending sensitive information electronically, you are always welcome to call us directly at (772) 282-7277.
Changes to This Notice
If we make material changes to this notice, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We will not change our practices in a way that is less protective of your information without providing clear notice.

This Privacy Notice was drafted as a good-faith baseline for a small, single-operator IT services business. It addresses current practices accurately to the best of our knowledge. It has not been reviewed by a licensed attorney. As the business grows — particularly if payment processing, employee records, or health-adjacent services are added — this notice should be reviewed and updated by qualified legal counsel. Florida's Digital Bill of Rights (Fla. Stat. §501.171 et seq.) and federal requirements may impose additional obligations depending on the nature and scale of data collected.
